Tijuana Cartel + Guests(AUS)

Supported by Kallidad and Electrik Lemonade

This is a past event.

Tijuana Cartel

Tijuana Cartel have been knocking on ancient Mesopotamian doors; who answered?  None other than ‘Ishtar’  goddess of love, beauty, sex, and war. What did she have on offer? A brand new tune for a download service of your choice. Tijuana Cartel are saddled-up and ready to hit the road

Their first release in a couple of years brings a generous dosing of heavy bass, haunting guitars and soul smashing beats. It’s a guaranteed floor shaker,  Just the first to come from a limited-edition vinyl release set to drop before their up-coming tour.

“We were just sitting on Carey’s roof top on the Gold Coast when Anunnaki aliens came and started jamming these beats with us” Paul George, The bands Guitarist and Vocalist on how the song came to fruition.

The band are gearing up for a national spring tour that sees them touring well into the Australian summer festivities…

Kallidad

Kallidad combines flamenco, rock and mariachi music into an intoxicating instrumental mix. Together with the band's infamous 'Day of the Dead' facepaint, the result is a live spectacle that has been drawing audiences across Australia, Asia and Europe, including major festivals such as Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival and events as diverse as bush doofs, metal gigs and family folk picnics. Somehow, the three amigos have created a sound and energy that touches literally all demographics- without compromising their sound one iota.

Electrik Lemonade

Electrik Lemonade is a merry band of funklords that play a repertoire of funk, hip hop, blues, soul and dance music that could only be fathered by the likes of Captain Planet. Each member brings their own slice of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water and Lovin’ in the live show, culminating in a whirlwind of explosive energy that comes with a tidal warning as the crowd uncontrollably burst into a wave of dance and good vibes.

Since their debut in December 2010, Electrik Lemonade's live performances have rapidly grown as they play to crowds at premiere live music venues & festivals up and down the East Coast. They've been lucky enough to be aired live to National Television featuring on Channel 7's Weekend Sunrise, Channels 10's The 7pm Project, feature artist on Toasted TV & even reaching airplay in Europe, Asia, North America & regularly throughout Australia.

Drawing on a unique blend of influences while combining their comedic, fun attitude toward life they present a energetic, visual music show - after which, the crowd is never left with anything but a funky uplifted feeling.
