Karise Eden’s voice is powerful and raw in its authenticity, showing that she’s lived a full and complex life despite her relative youth. After busking and playing community festivals on the Central Coast she was launched into the national spotlight in 2012 after being prompted by a friend to enter the first series of The Voice Australia. Her blind audition was the clear standout, blowing away the judges and the live audience. That footage went viral and has since been viewed on YouTube 32 million times! She went on to break sales & chart records before taking a break to find her feet again.
Karise Eden’s shows are now a unique and very entertaining mix of her heart wrenching soulful voice with a relaxed and cheeky stage presence. At her upcoming intimate venues, she will be performing soul songs that channel the greats of our time and some brand new songs she’s working on for her upcoming album. Don’t miss this one!
Eleea is a force to be reckoned with; making music that juxtaposes sensitivity and strength. Eleea’s raw, powerful voice is what first captures your attention, then her intelligent, emotive songwriting captivates and holds you until her final breath.
Since beginning her career at 15, Eleea has played numerous festivals (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, Byron Bay Bluesfest, Buskers By The Creek Festival); corporate gigs (Miss World Australia crowning ceremony, Pacific Fair VIP official opening, Gold Coast City Council’s Australia Day celebrations, Gold Coast’s International Women’s Day celebrations); supported touring acts (Stonefield, Kate Martin, Tora); and has performed and busked throughout Australia and internationally.
Eleea has recorded two independent releases: ‘Human’ (album, 2011) and ‘Lion’ (EP, 2016). Upon its release, the title track from ‘Human’ peaked in the top 10 of the Triple J Unearthed charts, while ‘Lion’ officially debuted on 102.9 Hot Tomato’s Gold Coast Uncovered segment. ‘Lion’ was a passion project that integrated Eleea’s eclectic taste in music and broad vocal range, and was brought to life under the guidance of producers Chris Naughton and Guy Gray (David Bowie, Midnight Oil, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Cindy Lauper and Paul Kelly.)
Aside from Music, Eleea has also been a Miss Universe Australia national finalist (2014), Miss World Australia top 10 finalist (2016), and won the Miss World Australia talent section (2016). She’s also a strong ambassador for the Animal Welfare League of Queensland, and regularly volunteers her time and talents to children, animals and people with special needs.
Eleea’s talent is instinctual and intense, emerging from a fierce passion for her art. If two original albums, three music videos, hundreds of knock out performances and an even greater amount of unique songs have been achieved already, the question on everybody’s lips is: what will we see next?
